1. What’s the most exciting part of your job? “I love being a recruiter. To me, it’s not a job, but a career, a calling, a journey to making someone’s life just a little better for themselves or their family by assisting them with finding new employment. The client, likewise, is very important — their products and services are offered to make our lives, our world – just a little better. As a recruiter, I get the opportunity to hopefully make a difference for both our clients and my consultants.”
2. What’s the best book you’ve recently read? “Fly a Little Higher” by Laura Sobiech
3. What is one question every candidate should ask during a job interview?“What are the characteristics of someone who would succeed in this role?”
4. Have you always been a recruiter? “Recruiting is my third career. I began my working career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist caring for 1 and 2 pound premature babies on ventilators. Later, I studied and became a Travel Agent specializing in handicap travel. Finally, I became a Recruiter and have been for the last 15 years.”
5. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? That’s easy and may sound so cliché but it is spoken from the heart and with all sincerity:  To help everyone, worldwide, as well as here in our own country, state, city and at OpTech, to really see/appreciate people as individuals with lives and histories and families, and stories that matter; To drop the labels or assuming that you know.”
